Purple is my absolute favorite color. I think because it’s such a rich, deep color that used to be only worn by royalty. Not going to lie, when I wear purple I just feel like a queen. Purple can also be so versatile with its multitude of hues such as , lilac and lavender for more of a light pastel touch.
The top I’m wearing is from a boutique in Paris I stumbled upon with my mother. I didn’t get the name of the store unfortunately; I was too busy checking out the cute Parisian guys to notice. The sleeveless blouse is a design of the owner who created a double lapel & mesh back to give an everyday blouse a bit of edge. I don’t normally wear sleeveless tops, but his one was such a unique top I had to have it. I paired it with a suede mini I found at goodwill for a whopping $5. Woohooo!
The ruffle underskirt is from FreePeople, and it can actually be doubled as a top or worn all by itself. The mini skirt was a bit short, so the extra length of the ruffle skirt helped to lengthen the hem.
My heels are from Zara, & they are actually comfortable, believe it or not. That is a very important quality in shoes for me. I won’t wear a heel if they are uncomfortable, poorly made, or loose fitting for the sake of fashion. When I buy shoes I think in terms of, “Can I own these for a few seasons? Can I walk more than a mile without getting an ache in my foot? If someone pushed me over would I break my ankle?” That last question is more of a personal one, because I’ve fallen pretty terribly in 6 inch heels & my ankles have never been the same.
